Even though we use a high performing polyurethane foam, some flattening or loss of resiliency will occur as a result of normal use and aging. This is not covered under the warranty. Cushion materials conform to the shape of the user and is not considered to be a manufacturing defect. Cushion softness is significantly affected by the type of fabric or leather that surrounds it. Proper maintenance and seat cushion rotation where applicable will provide longer life and greater durability. Cushions suspected to be defective must be returned to the builder for industry testing. If it is determined that the cores were not properly cared for or were under extreme abuse, would void the warranty. If found defective, AJ’s Furniture will replace at no charge. Shipping and handling charges will apply to cushion cores replaced after two (2) years.

Quality Features & Care

Enjoy your furniture for years to come...

AJ’s Furniture appreciates your patronage and it is our desire to produce beautiful solid wood furniture that will stand the test of time and be enjoyed by generations to come. Starting with quality hardwoods, our frames feature the long-lasting durability of mortise and tenon construction and attention to detail. Wood’s natural beauty and uniqueness are evident in each piece of furniture we craft. It is also wood’s natural tendency to adapt to climatic and seasonal changes as found in your home. Most hardwoods have an open-grain character and even after finishing with today’s state-of-the-art finishes, wood will expand and contract as the wood grain adjusts to fluctuations in humidity levels. These seasonal effects may be evidenced by joints or grain that may open and close slightly over time, this occurrence is natural and to be expected. To properly care for your solid wood furniture, it is best to maintain constant relative humidity in your home. A humidity level in the range of 30-45% is desired to properly maintain wood furniture. It is advisable to avoid placing furniture in an area where the sun will shine directly on it. Also, it is wise to keep furniture away from direct sources of heating and cooling. Note that ultraviolet light from the sun and fluorescent fixtures can cause chemical changes in wood and/or finish. Ask your dealer to recommend finish-friendly cleaners and polishes. With proper care, you’ll enjoy your new furniture for many years to come.
